Located within the Main Lodge, the Med Shed is the centre of medical support at Camp Circle O’ Friends. This welcoming space provides campers with access to care, support, and reassurance whenever they need it.

The Med Shed is staffed by our team of dedicated medical and psychosocial volunteers, including nurses, physicians, social workers, and child life specialists. Together, they collaborate to support the physical, emotional, and overall well-being of our campers while helping them fully participate in the camp experience.

Our volunteer nurses are an important part of the Camp Circle O’ Friends experience. Many are familiar faces to our camper families and support campers from the very beginning of their journey, including travelling on the bus to and from camp and being present throughout the camp session.

Beyond providing medical care and support, our nurses are active members of the camp community. They join activities, participate in traditions, and help campers see their medical team as more than healthcare professionals — but as people who laugh, encourage, and create memories alongside them.

Our volunteer physicians, oncologists, and psychosocial support workers are an important part of the Camp Circle O’ Friends experience. They bring valuable expertise and compassion to support the unique needs of our campers, from providing medical guidance to helping campers navigate emotions, challenges, and difficult conversations.
